My Father's Place in McCall

This place has great shakes and burgers. They're incredibly popular so the lines can be long, but they do a good job at managing large crowds. It's a very popular location during summer months, holidays, and busy weekends. They do have some unique menu items, but their go to menu items are the best!

I’ll just share some of the things I heard as I sat down outside:“The best burgers I’ve ever had!”“These fries are incredible!”“The best shakes I’ve ever had!”The customers speak for themselves, I personally enjoyed the sweet potato fries. The food really was incredible and the atmosphere definitely invites family outings. I’d eat here again, definitely recommended for anyone looking for a good meal!

Always great food and great atmosphere. Be prepared for a little line most days and a big one on weekends. But well worth the wait and weight.

Great shakes! Huckleberry is the favorite. Be prepared for a line when ordering food but you can always get a shake from side window which is fast.

Really great spot for some burgers tried this place out visiting McCall and was in the mood for a simple cheeseburger and some fries. They didn’t disappoint I would definitely recommend trying out this place if you’re in the area and they have a lot of more options!

The people are efficient in getting the orders out. The food is delicious and comes out nice and hot. The shakes are great. This is one of the chicken burgers. Delightful.

Great food. Sweet potato fries are excellent. Variety of shake flavors which are great! Usually a 40-60 minute wait time during peak summer hours. Outdoor seating available (COVID19 friendly).

Enjoyed the delicious Baconeer Burger, natural cut fries, and a peanut and chocolate shake! Seems to be a relatively green business with compostable cups and minimal single use plastics! ❤️The service was fast and friendly! Tip generously if you can afford to, service people work hard and the cards are stacked against those in the service industry with BS minimum wages and then getting taxed on tips!! That's wrong and unfair!!!☮️

Try the smokejumper it's one of the best burgers you can ask for and this little hometown restaurant never ceases to put a smile on my face with their good service and great food. Their shakes are awesome they have a good variety. Also love that the condiments are very accessible and a good selection.

My wife and I decided to come here, after being frustrated by everything being closed at 1700. Really good food. The fries are freshly cut, are big and fluffy, and lightly salted. Our burgers were really flavorful, the bacon and ham very good! We didnt have a long wait to order, or to get our food. Pepsi products here, with flavor shots.

Great food and service. I’ve waited longer at fast food places. Had the cheeseburger with onion rings. Both were cooked perfectly.

The BEST! Our favorite place to eat at when we visit. The kids working there are super nice and they have a system down for sure- we always get our food quickly.

If you're near My Father's Place you need to make time to stop here. The service was great and the food was excellent. We had a group of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meal!

Was not happy definitely over priced the kids that were working really didn't care. I have had good food and not so good of food out of here. I truly believe after this last time i will save my money and not go back.

Very delicious food! The onion rings and sweet potato fries stole the show but the Hotshot burger (double cheese burger) was great as well. The line is always long so I would recommend not going during peak meal times. We went around 9pm and it was still long but not as bad. A little pricey for what it is (picture below was $30) at $9 a burger but I understand McCall prices are elevated overall. With all that in mind, would likely go again.

We came in out of the cold for some delicious burgers! I got the firehouse and it was 👌 I could tell it was all fresh produce, and the jalapenos brought great heat but it wasn't overpowering 😍 You know a good, juicy burger when your fingers get all messy, two thumbs up 👍👍

My Fathers Place in McCall is a great little diner that serves American Food and has something for everyone. Last time we were there we all enjoyed a midday treat. A yummy caramel milkshake, a root beer float and my husband wanted an ice cold beer and we all shared a basket of fries. They also have great burgers and many other tastey choices.

Weather beautiful, had Onion rings and caramel shake grandson had reg. Cheeseburger and fries. All very good and great service. Sat outside. Very nice servers. Cost was 20.00. I recommend it to anyone v.

They serve the best mushroom "Shroom" burgers I have ever eaten and I always order them wherever they are offered. The service was very quick and timely. By the time we got our drinks the orders were brought out to us at our covered picnic table. Sanitizers were very accessible and we used them as needed. There was a line for ordering but it moved reasonably fast. I have eaten here numerous times over quite a few years. Whenever I come to McCall I have to eat here at least once.

We are in McCall very often, mostly in the summer, but also in the winter. My Father’s Place is always our go to food option. Their burgers are DELICIOUS and their shakes are to die for! We love bringing friends here who haven’t been before because everyone loves it. Quality food. The line is always out the door it’s so good!!!

Best Milkshakes Ever. Nice patio.. Would have rated 5 Stars but the one of the owners (blonde older lady) was extremely short with all of the customers, the other one was very kind though. 🍧

Excellent food and service. My wife has Celiac's and they are very accommodating to her dietary needs. I had the elk burger which was amazing!! Liked it so much we ate there twice before leaving McCall.

I grew up coming here occasionally as a treat, and so this is just traditional to go an for me to enjoy. They have a lot of unique burgers and good shakes. It's a bit pricey, but really nice food. I love it, and recommend it to everyone.

A bit of a wait, but for my first time, the food was worth it. Very good, messy burger(juicy) as it should be. Flavors were well balanced. Fries were about perfect. The people were friendly, helpful and nice even though they were very busy.

You gotta do it. The burgers are great, the fries/tots are worth it. But most of all, their shakes are awesome.Expect a wait, whether it's Wednesday or Saturday night. You will wait. A hell of a lot longer on the weekends but it's worth it.

Great shakes....Great bacon burger with fries. Definitely a must try while your in McCall. The only thing to be cautious about is limited seating.

Good food, and really fast service. The fries are a little over cooked for me but if you like crispy and crunchy fries they are good. The house fry sauce is good as well. Lots of options to eat and simple place. Very nice for a quick bite.

This was a fun place to come! The food was fast (~10-15 minutes), fresh, and delicious. My husband and I got the Hawaiian and Regatta burgers, some french fries, and a shake. Great value for the food. They took good measures to do social distancing and wearing masks.

Asked for extra extra grilled mushrooms on my shroom burger, they completely ignored it. Ranch sucks. Chicken tenders dry and hard. Patty was super thin.

Great burger! If you want a great gulten free burger and vegan options come here for some great food! Get the burger fry bowl. You get the burger on top of delicious fries with onions, tomatoes and fresh pickles. The black bean burger is delicious. Yummy shakes and acai bowls.

Great raspberry shakes. Tangy and sweet but not too sweet and not too tangy. Get the real fruit option.Well worth the extra price.We ordered the tots as a joke but they were crisp and hot and surprisingly delicious.
